Cabarete Life Coaching Lemon articlesSix and a bit months after a near fatal accident my heart and life are full of joy and gratitude. I can honestly say that my life is sweeter, more beautiful, and richer than it was pre-accident. It has to do with receiving life’s lemons and making lemonade or lemon meringue pie or whatever you wish in order to make the bitter lemon sweeter, to make your life sweeter!

Here is my story: Early in the evening, last October, without warning, while driving at 65 miles per hour down the highway, my husband turned to me and said, “I don’t feel well” and fainted in my arms. With my husband slumped over, the car swerved down the highway, making “s” like skid marks, rolled over completely, popped up and landed on it’s wheels and stopped before hitting a concrete bridge support. In those moments, I was sure we were going to be killed, I could not see how we could survive. A miracle occurred and we lived. A broken neck at C2 (highly dangerous vertebra to break) for my husband, bruises and rib damage for me, a shaken-up dog, truly nothing short of a miracle, a strong message that it was in fact not our time. In those few moments, when I thought we were going to die and we didn’t, I was forever changed and in those moments, although I certainly did not know it then, I began my own personal recipe for making lemonade out of this bad-ass lemon! It is my most sincere wish that by sharing the story of my journey thus far…. you too will learn about turning the bitterness of the lemon to sweetness!
